I will be in Verona for a function at the end of June and will be taking the first week of July off to drive around the Dolomites in Northern Italy. I assume there is some great hiking in places like Cortina and Bolzano,

Anyone here have any prior experience and some tips? I am also looking at staying perhaps (booking the day off, not in advance likely) at a rufugio in case it's not fully booked.
