How to make a triple-stitch ? on 06/16/2009 08:49:32 MDT Print View

"Triple-stitch everything, using a straight stitch."

How exactly would I go about doing that? I have little sewing experience, so diagrams/videos would really help.

Thanks,

Nick

Nick,
What are you making?
What is the fabric?
Coated or uncoated?

Single stitching is fine for a lot of situations.

The phrase "triple stitching" is ambiguous, and two lines of stitching is usually enough for almost anything.

More clues please....

Hi Greg,

Thanks for the quick reply. I should have described the project this triple-stitch will be used in.

I will be making a Ray-way backpack as described in the book Trail Life by Ray Jardine. He mentions "triple-stitching everything, using a straight stitch".

The majority of the backpack will be constructed of 1.9oz coated nylon and 330 denier Cordura.

Thanks,

Nick
