So my significant other and I were invited on a 5-day backpacking trip at the end of the month, and she accepted! This is great in theory, except that I spent the fall selling off all my "second person" gear!

Now I need to find a medium-sized pack for her to carry and a 2-person shelter, and possibly a 2-person quilt. I know exactly what I'd buy if I was made of money, but unfortunately the finances are tighter than I'd like right now too.

Has anyone got secondary packs or tents (or tarps, preferably with mesh skirts or bug bivies...) they'd like to sell to a hiking couple?

I imagined some of the classic UL hiking gear, like tarptents, granite gear or golite packs, maybe ray-way quilts? What do people have gathering dust in their closets that would rather be out covering miles on a trail?

I have a Tarptent Squall 2 I'd be willing to part with. It's the old style (2007?) without a floor, seamsealed, used three nights, for $120 USD plus postage. (Don't know what the postal rates are to Canada).

Thanks Donna. I've managed to purchase a tarptent and a Golite Pinnacle: thanks to Dennis and Jim for that.

Danielle will be picking them up in Point Roberts tonight or tomorrow, so I'll have the whole weekend to play with them!

Now if only someone somewhere on earth had a JacksRBetter (or Nunatak!) double quilt for sale. A boy can dream, can't he? :)
