Jay,Do you have any info on snow levels in Emigrant this season?
Lower Relief Valley shows no snow as of today- I bet there is still snow higher up at Mosquito Pass. CDEC.gov says the snow was only 66% of normal and is melting off rapidly. I don't think its going to be a major issue.

Jay,Thanks. I'd forgotten about this resource. Have a good trip.
Snow Report: CDEC.Water.CA.gov/snow/current/ Lots of very helpful information...The snow is melting rapidly!!!
Giving a shout out for any Bay Area Backpackers--Leaving tomorrow night and starting early Saturday morning from Kennedy Meadows TH (12.4 miles one way to Emigrant Lake)-Jay
I won't be around this weekend or I would like to go.

Jay,Wish I could go with you...so pretty out there.I am going with some friends and relatives to Yosemite for a day hike from the valley floor to the top of El Capitan and back down.Going to be a long day. Will take photos and share with everyone here.Wish I could clone myself and go on both trips.Be safe and have a great time.-Tony
I have a trip to Fletcher Lake/Vogelsang High Sierra camp this weekend. If I chicken out (I'm not sure I'm ready to hike/camp on snow) I know I have a backup plan. I went up to Emigrant last year (Wire Lakes) and loved it.
