Rab Vapour-rise trail pant sizing? on 05/27/2009 01:09:45 MDT Print View

Hi, was wondering if anyone could comment on the sizing of these?

The Rab description has the slightly contradictory comment of "Close-fitting design ensures maximum freedom of movement". But the only review I've tracked down describes them as "very baggy" (http://www.livefortheoutdoors.com/Gear-Reviews/Search-Results/9229/Rab-Vapour-Rise-Trail-Pants/).

Am hoping to avoid baggy!

I have the Vapour Rise Smock and seeing as it is quite close fitting I just can't imagine the pants being baggy. The whole design works on the principle of the inner pile sitting snugly against the skin for evaporation so "baggy" just doesn't make sense. The reviewer might have meant that the pants are long and bunch up at the ankles. I don't have the pants, so I don't know, really. But I really love the smock for cooler weather, either directly against the skin, as intended, or with a thin merino layer underneath.

I don't have access to mine since I'm at work and haven't worn them in a couple of months but I'm pretty sure I have a medium and they fit like any other pant would. They don't fit like tights but I wouldn't call them baggy either.
