I am heading up to Lost Creek for a loop trip this (long for me) weekend. Does anyone have a strong feeling about whether to do this loop clockwise or counterclockwise?

I appreciate any insights you can provide.

Which loop are you doing? Lost creek offers so many loops its a great place to go. If you are doing the Goose creek trail loop, I prefer counter clockwise.

So many to chose from

Thanks - I have been that way up to the Shafthouse area and, based on your recommendation, will go back there and continue my 3 day trip counter clockwise.

Care to tell me why this is your preferred direction?

I like going this way because your ascent is more gradual then clockwise which gives you more time to get your legs.
