You didn't say what temps you would be using this quilt in but something that works very well for me (I like quilts too) is the Montbell Ultralight Thermal Sheet. It has a full side zip with a closed toe box and makes a wonderfull quilt. It can also be zipped up of course if you feel a bit chilled. The other Montbell bags also have full length zips and work very well as quilts but the Thermal Sheet is the only one without the excess weight of a hood.
