They hid them behind some boxes and "found" them once the sale was over. Very convenient for them!

I ordered one for my Grand Canyon trip next week.

NeoAir available at backcountry.com AND REI on 04/06/2009 13:17:01 MDT Print View

I wandered over to the REI in North Phoenix and they had Five NeoAirs (size Regular) in stock. They now have four and I have one. I love having a big old dividend to spend.

I saw backcountry.com -- that's how I knew to create the link. We want this to be a simple "one click" experience for shoppers, ur, I mean hikers.

Do give a gear report when you get yours!

Report to follow the GC hike. I do have to go to Fargo right after we get out, I fly the next morning from Flagstaf to Fargo, so I may be a few days late on the trip report and gear review.

BTW...one left

Hear any durability reports? Will you use yours alone? on 04/06/2009 19:13:22 MDT Print View

Do you plan to use yours alone or with some torso-length thin CCF in case it fails?

Can't wait to order one. Are there any left anywhere, especially on sale?

Why would it fail? It is more robust than many are suggesting here....as I lay on it in amazing comfort.

Always thinking about failure points...Can't wait to try this on 04/06/2009 20:01:45 MDT Print View

Every time I hear someone tell me about how much weight they are saving sleeping on a ridiculously thin CCF pad that would have me aching all over in the AM, all I can think about is the NeoAir. I find inflatable pads more comfortable when I can deflate them a little to match to body contours, so I'm really looking forward to a few inch thick pad that is still super light. My issue with 1 in. Therm-a-rests is that fully inflated I find them less comfortable, and deflating a 1 in. pad sacrifices insulation. NeoAir's light weight and thickness are perfect combo for me.
