09/01/09--09/14/09. part sierra high route, and part own route nearly all of trail. dates tight as flying from ireland to san fran, willing to pay gas if driving from san fran!!! this is my fith trip to the sierras. stephen.

i might be interested - can you describe the off route section more? what kind of mileage are you looking to do per day?

in reply to scott mitchell, sorry for the delay, have just returned home after three weeks exploring the gila wilderness. the plan for the sierra trip is roads end to granite lake, state lakes, simpson meadow, bushwack up goddard creek 2 nights, ionian basin, cross glacier divide, the pinnacles, and down to vvr. 2nd week,bsically following the sierra high route with some variations to yosemite, the daily mileage depends on terrain, etc also its a vacation so its to be enjoyed
