Random thought:

To deny ones connection with nature is to deny ones self.
Are we nature? And is nature us?

Makes me wonder what the world would be like if more people were in touch with nature.

She's amazing...

Nick

Ah, the buddhist in me loves this question. There is human nature, dog nature, cat nature and 'nature' of pretty much anything (even rock nature). A cat does not do that which is not in the nature of a cat, nor does a rock do what is not in the nature of the rock. Buddhism teaches us to recognise the nature of all things an know that we cannot (and shoulk not try) change it!

This should be a short-lived thread as it's not gear-related, and that's bound to annoy someone soon. It is in their nature to get annoyed at such off-topic posts.

...Nature, red in tooth and claw.

No matter how often you knock at nature's door,
she won't answer in words you can understand -
for Nature is dumb. She'll vibrate and moan like a
violin, but you mustn't expect a song.

But what is woman?- only one of Nature's agreeable blunders.

Nature is usually wrong.

Natura vacuum abhorret.

"She'll vibrate and moan like a

I think that depends on how one feels music. I have listened to many a symphony up in the high places, complete with pipes, wood winds, percussion, and more. Moves me way down deep where my spirit dwells, just like some human compositions, only more so. And then there's the birds, and the insects, the coyotes and the owls. Oh my, song without end...
