OZ east coast: 6 days off in April?? on 03/15/2009 18:51:05 MDT Print View

I am looking for trip suggestions for the Aussie east coast.
I have 6 days off in April and I'm headed for the bush. What's your favourite 5-6 day walk within a 6 hour radius of Sydney?
All suggestions will be considered.

Thanks Roger,

I love the Kowmung. I've spent many days down in that beautiful rugged valley.

I like the idea of a full length traverse.
Where would you start from?

Hi Andrew

Sue and I walked from Morong Falls to the Coxs. You can go down the face beside the Falls, with care, or go down the 4WD road a bit further upstream. I guess you could start further up if you wanted. Our car was left at the turnoff to the UniRover Trail.

There are supposed to be several canyon swims, in places like Moombah Loombah. We walked around them all - not hard, just look around carefully. There is one flat open swim further down which seems to be unavoidable, but it is a large pool and no problems at all.

Cheers
