I got an offer on my Catalust- but passed on it - I need to sell this, but do not want to take a killing on it. I wish it fit me better, I would just keep it. Before I bought it I read a lot of reviews and thought they had good resale value - what am I doing wrong here?

What you did "wrong":

1. Should have returned it new to ULA when you found out the pack didn't fit you well.

2. Waited too long to sell -- new 2009 model is out.

3. Should have 'bumped up' this thread a few times between 2/28 and 3/11. Threads sink with time -- attracting ever fewer attention.

I don't know, I've had a lot of things that didn't sell on forums, but as soon as I put them on EBay, they sold.

You are correct Ben. I might go the feebay route - I almost did that a couple of years ago and the item sold.

As far as the 09 models - look a the changes - the dual stay is not needed since you won't be able to carry more than 35 to 40lbs anyways -- and the change on the outer pockets does nothing - therefore I would conclude that the changes are merely for marketing purposes and a price increase.

So you get added weight for more money - and more packs get sold because everyone has to have the latest.

I'd love to have it, it's just out of my price range, and I've bought too many other packs lately. I guess I go for cheap and quantity. I'd love to have a ULA to try someday though.
