The legs, lungs, and knees I had when I carried food drops for groups on the JMT in the late 60's.
Ryan Faulkner:I would like to see BMW re make their old Arc X bag and also come out with a cocoon version.--------I'm not sure why -- you can get the same bag done by Nunatak (and cheaper). Nunatak will make the Arc X variant (they call it something else, I think). The main differences between that and the standard are the height of the baffles (2.0" in the Arc X rather than 2.5") and the amount of fill (Nunatak usually adds more fill, but did the Arc X to Ryan's specs). There's always the Fanatic Fringe quilt done in Delta, which should be close enough to whatever Cocoon is coming from BMW...
From Ben Lyon:The rebirth of GoLite's Day pack.------------------But at the published 10 oz of weight rather than the 13 or 13.5 ounces that actually shipped.
I'd like a cure for this lightweight fever I've contracted.
Partner, when they start a twelve step program for this I'm sure my wife will do an "intervention" on me. Just be glad you don't have the lightweight bicycle disease too. There's a pair of wheels I've been eyeing but I'm about five grand short...
Oh, and heres another thing for the wish list...How about a GoLite Team backpack NOT in dayglow yellow????It would be nice to go out for training sessions, using a pack identical in every way to my racing pack, and NOT look like a traffic cone in the woods. Is it too much to ask for a "moss" team pack for training sessions......really?
After I had my 2002 Santa Cruz Superlight down to about 23 lbs, an intervention known as a collection agency helped me quit cold turkey. I think that if I catch your disease, which sounds like road bike titanium-itis, I will be in serious trouble. Happy Holiday. Laurence

"The legs, lungs, and knees I had when..."AND the abs
SHEESH! People wishing for lungs, legs, knees and abs that they used to have... Now, isn't that TOTALLY GREEDY of you people to be double dipping?Since I have never had strong lungs, legs, knees, biceps or abs, I should be first in line! :)

Since I've started my own personal war with Rodale Press they've stopped considering me for a cover model for Men's Health magazine, that and the fact I now closely resemble a really huge apple....
"Since I have never had strong lungs, legs, knees, biceps or abs, I should be first in line! :)"Touché
