Looking for companion(s) for John Muir Trail backpack 2009. Begin any time from mid July to early August. Did this solo summer of 2007 and had such a great time I want to go again! Moderate pace, flexible schedule.

Hey Lisette. I would love to join. A friend from Ecuador was coming down here to do it but he can't due to his job. I think being flexible and enjoying the trail is the main thing.
Do you have any further details of your trip? do you still want people to join you?
I will be taking a course at the Rudolf Steiner Institute in Boston until July 25. So I could meet you the 26 or 27 if it would work. Then hiking for about 2- 3 weeks?

I don't know if Lisette is following this thread but Lisette has joined a group of 5 doing the entire JMT (starting out with 8 for the first 7 days), of which I'm one of the group. The group is as large as it should probably be (in order to make use of most camp sites). We're hitting the trail July 19 moving at an average pace of 10 miles a day. If you see a group with three ladies in the group, everyone (men and women) age 55-62 with the exception of one person age 40, then you've bumped into us. Say hi then.

I'm doing the JMT starting in 4 weeks with 2 friends but they are joining me for the first 7 days then i'm off on my own - I was hoping for a companion - any interest?

I am able to go between August 15th and 26th. Any solo hiker or group I could join?

I plan to hike the trail this summer too, as prep for the PCT in two years. I have not hiked it yet and would like to go with someone who has been before. Around my age would be nice. Im 21.
