Is there a list somewhere that shows all available commands -- such as italic, bold, underline, insert links, etc., etc.? Thanks in advance.

Look HERE for a concise HTLM overview. It's about 5 lessons long and a quick read.

Bear in mind that what we post gets "inserted" into a HTML boilerplate.

What else besides Italic, Bold, Underline, Links, and Images?

Until the local web wizards decide to add "Tools" for the non-techies it will be a small struggle. The fact that the engine strips the HTML on the insert make Edit a real PITA.

It may be done on purpose to keep the purple prose strictly black and white, header-sized text meaningful, and generally keep the aesthetic minimal, legible, and tidy.

If that is the case, we should honor the decision.
I feel bad even using bold, as if it should only be used on the original post. Sometimes I do it to the link text on a link, so it's a little more evident, because blue and black single-pixel lines don't differentiate too much against white.

You know how some forums are so MySpace-in-a-hot-mess looking. I am sticking to the basics.

I am looking for a list of commands specifically to this BPL site -- if one exists.

we can always try the reliable "trial & error" method and put them in our wiki...

strike through may not work since it is a deprecated tag, meaning it may not be supported in the newest web browsers in it's orignal tag type. Cascading style sheets may allow a line through text. Or something like that.

I don't know much about html, but understand that style sheets are the preferred way to handle text, etc

Easier to manage large volumes of web pages. Can change all page "looks" by editing the style sheet.

Then you focus on just content for the actual web pages. The colors, etc is the job of the style sheet.

All of those I listed except the last one are deprecated. The correct method is via a CSS text-decoration attribute which is what I was trying in the last one.
