Anybody ever look at this? I don't want to talk (too) ugly, but this is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen, gear-wise. It's like reading a forum in the early 80's. Or maybe you can only talk about advertisers gear. Think I am just being too critical?

I actually like the gear forum there. Why? It affords me the opportunity to educate traditional backpackers into considering lightening their load. There are some BPL Members who post there. Me (duh!), Ben2World, TwoFortyJeff, etc.

You just have to hang out and get to know the posters - many of us date back to 2001 and 2002 - the forum over there has been through many versions (the last big one caused us to lose our post counts and messed up our "join dates") The forum is looser but is well moderated.
