I'm planning a trip to Pisgah Forest in late January and early February. I'm going to do the Art Loeb trail, connect back down to the Mountains to Sea, go just north of the Cradle of Forestry site, then connect down to the Black Mountain Trail and back to the ranger station. My planned route is approximately 75.5 miles. If anyone is interested in possibly joining me let me know. I'm also curious to hear from anyone that's been back in the Shining Rock Wilderness that time of year.

I am thinking about doing a long day hike in the Shining Rock Wilderness the week of January 12th. If I end up doing it I will post here and tell about the trail conditions.
