Les Stroud once crossed the Canadian Rockies in a loin cloth with only a hockey stick and a long neck of Moose Head Beer.

Les Stroud is so tough that when he is camping bears don't cr*p in the woods in fear that Les might step in it and want revenge.

Les Stroud can blow bubbles with beef jerky.

...he fashioned a bivy sack out of Bear Grylls.

...when he needs shelter in the mountains, he triggers an avalanche and calls it a snow cave.

I feel dumb...........I had to go see who Les Stroud was.......

les is surviour man on the discovery chanel. he is someone you would want to be with if lost in the woods. the man can do anything...he's my hero...

I saw that the other day in a store. It looked pretty decent at a glance. The comment about the Bear Grylls bivy sack was funny! lol I had my DVR set to record Man vs. Wild, so I've seen most of those. Once you've seen the first season, you've pretty much seen all of Bear's tricks. I'm going to have to start recording some Survivorman. :)

Received two seasons of Surviverman DVDs for my birthday. Having never seen the show my first thought was along the lines of "Oh brother, how am I gonna pretend to enjoy this?"

But we won me over with the first episode ... taking a dump in a northern Ontario River in October and being left alone as if his kit had disappeared down river can't meet most folk's idea of fun.

The part of each episode I enjoy most is when he's turning away from the camera after sampling his latest food find. The voice may say Yum! but the face tells a different story.

I bought the book and put the Season 1 and 2 DVD's at the top of my Blockbuster Online queue. At least I'll have something to do until I can get back out on a trail or river! lol

Less is so tough that when Crocidile Dundee heard he was coming to Australia to do a Survivorman episode he quickly moved back to N.Y.

Les is so tough that in one episode he was bit by a rattlesnake and they immediately airlifted the snake to the med center.
