Learning to sew... on 10/17/2008 23:00:57 MDT Print View

I recently got my hands on a sewing machine and was thinking of trying to make a tarp tent and a sleeping bag. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start? I've searched the internet for a basic design to get me started, but I can't seem to find any.

Thanks, that helps a lot! I know how to turn my computer on, but beyond that is pushing it. ;-) Thanks again!

My recommendation is to do the tarp first, then the bag (or quilt) as I think the tarp is simpler to construct.

Edit: Oh, you said tarp tent, not tarp...even if you don't need one, it would probably be a good idea to start with a stuff sack.
