1 1/2 Titanium Goat poles ** SOLD on 10/11/2008 09:58:32 MDT Print View

** SOLD **

I've broken these poles twice. They just are not working for my intended purpose. The have maybe 150mi on them, probably less.
You can have them for $50 + shipping, first to email gets 'em.
Well packaged in a stong tube they weigh 1#8oz and ship from 80904.
Ti Goat should be able to supply a new lower section. I paid about $40 for the last (upper) replacement section I ordered.
PayPal prefered.

Tim,
How did they break? I understand snapping a lower caught in rocks, but the failed upper is a concern.

Are you a big guy and just hard on stuff, or are these sort of delicate, or.... ??

Thanks.

I'm not big, 150#.
I take care of my stuff and generally recognize the limits of UL gear.
The first break, the upper section, was caused when I fell on the pole when it was bridged between 2 rocks. No pole would have withstood that without damage.
The second break, the lower section, happened when the tip got caught in a hole. I believe my GG poles would have survived that no problem.
I use section poles for summit attempts in the Rockies.
TI Goat poles are highly praised on this website. I believe they are good poles. They just are not working for my use.
