is there any way backpackinglight can do a reveiw comparing different kinds of synthetic insulations.
exceloft, polarguard 3D, primaloft, ect.
it is hard to compare products with diferent insulations so if you guys could find the warmth/weight ratios, duribility, efficiency in water, amount of water absorbed, long term effects, etc. it would be easier to compare prouducts because right now people only have their opinions on the stuff

Ryan,

That was part of the review that BPL did when comparing pullover jackets last year. Additionally, BMW supposed has tested the major fill materials to determine what material that they wanted for their Cocoon Products. Ryan J. is at the very least instrumental in the design and selection of materials going into the production of BMW products.
