anyone tried to make a SUL DIY chair kit?
my idea is shown below. There are no stays and no fabric, just some webbing and 2 buckles. the two strips of webbing across the back equalized to the buckle should add some support, and this addition should only add 1-2 ounces to a foam sleeping pad. obviously it wouldn't have the support of a chair with stays, but maybe you could even add slots to put straight, green, springy branches into......

I tried doing something like that a couple of years ago, but it was too floppy for me and so not as comfortable as a heavy Thermarest chair. I think the stays are important for the comfort (someone out there once posted pics of a lightweight chair he made using carbon fiber kite stays as the support for it on another site).
