I have non-destructively modified the design by removing some plastic
components. This is a prototype model sewed at the GG home office/R&D
lab in Two Harbors, MN so it's handmade with love by our Finnish
friends from the North!

$70 + s/h (compare to $110 retail)

I still have this item and it is too small for use in my primary two-person shelter (Shangri-La 2) so am bumping it as still for sale.

These photos depict the shelter under my spin tarp (not for sale)

Hi Sam - what plastic components have you removed? What kind of shape is it in? What is the height dimension?

I should also ask what the difference is between the prototype and what is sold in the stores.

Thanks,

> what plastic components have you removed?

I did that quite some time ago so I don't remember. Looking at Granite Gear's photos on their Web site it appears the stuff I removed may not be included with the current models anyway.

> What kind of shape is it in?

It is in pristine shape. A bit of dirt and that's all. I don't think I've had it in the field more than three times.

> What is the height dimension?

I'll have to measure it when I'm at home, but it's tall enough to sit up in.

> I should also ask what the difference is between the prototype and what is sold in the stores.

I've not had a current model in my hand but judging by the photos on the GG site the one I have appears to be stock.

Shipping to the U.K. would either be $13.00 or $27.00 depending on how small a box I could fit it in.
