Anyone have experience with Redwood Creek Gravel Bar backpacking in Redwoods National/State Park in northern California? How picturesque, how isolated or crowded? Other tips?

Any advice re possible four day trip along Illinois River in southern Oregon? Best place to start and end? Likely bugs this time of year? How crowded or isolated? Other tips?
