I am slightly aware that fuel canisters are rated to a certain temp in a car. So my question is I am about to be moving back to my home state of Washington from Austin and I have a stock of 3 and one partial small snow peak canisters. Anyone with any ideas about this.

ALL canisters are rated (DOT) to at least 50 C or 122 F. It should be quite OK to transport them in your car provided you keep them out of the direct sun.
