I am sorry if this has already been posted.
The couple that set out 2 years ago to hike across the spine of South America have finished their trek. I am not sure if they were lightweight backpackers. Their trek is a amazing feat of human endurance and something I have always dreamed of. Check out their journals, photos and videos:
