Franco,
hope you're never sitting on the bench as my judge if i decide to dispute a traffic summons!!! you'd probably be called the "hanging judge"...yeah, i know...it's just a parking
ticket...considering that you'd have them cut me down after only 20minutes...right? instead of leaving me on display for my crime for days. :) [note: appreciate your humor;
sorry to subject you to mine.]
ok. i understand your point.
here's something a self-employed friend taught me a long time ago. "the customer always absorbs the cost". his point was that if business was done differently, the cost of
the product/service would be higher. i guess it might also apply here. how so?
well...maybe...
let's say BMW/BPL did it differently, but had to charge $150 or $160 for the Coccoon. how would we feel about that? would that be preferable? i don't know. people will
probably vote one way or the other on this example. i'm just trying to make a point. it's always easier to see another's perspective after we've hiked 20miles in their trail
runners, right?
i'm not thrilled with the BPL/BMW policy, but i think, in part at least, i understand it. at the very least, i enter into any transaction knowing how it might, in a worst case scenario,
turn out, i.e. unanticipated delays. so, i share some of the blame if i get upset over this happening. at least, in my case i knew ahead of time that this eventuality
could occur.
so, assuming as correct all of your 5% scenario, they can keep my 5% interest or charge me 5% more at the outset. if it's interest, it "costs" me less!! according to my old friend, in this case, that's the way business is done. sorry, i can't be more help. i understand how you feel having been through that on my very first
BPL/BMW transaction some time ago. i also look at it this way: if this is the worst thing to happen to me in life (i've actually had far, far worse happen - more than once!), i
should consider myself blessed. in the grand scheme of things, it's a small matter, and once it's past & you have the Coccoon, you may very likely forget all about it & be
glad you waited for it. at least, that's how i choose to view situations like this. i'm not implying i'm better than you in anyway. your particular circumstances may be diff than
mine & so it may not be as easy to take this view as it is for me. i can understand that. given your circumstances (whatever they are), i might have a very terrible response.
yours thus far has had a good sense of humor about it. again, sorry i can't be more help.
