thrift shops, part II on 03/31/2008 19:28:19 MDT Print View

OK, i finally found myself in a situation where i felt the thrift-store asking price on an item was ridiculously low. I found a Kelty Yukon (a budget external frame that goes for $90 US retail) which appeared to be brand-new and unused. there was a sticker stuck on it asking $6.99 US. since my husband is a Scoutmaster i like to compile extra gear for his scouts (those who can't afford to outfit themselves or whose parents refuse to follow our gear guidelines). at the register, i insisted that the price could not be correct - it was too low. the manager came over, looked at it, and said "The price is fine."

so shall we start arguing again? ;)
