I'm trying to find 1/4" closed cell foam similar to the Thinlight stuff that comes in a 72" (or a few inches longer if possible) length.

Any ideas?

They sell this stuff across the street from my house. I actually just bought one less then a week ago and cut it up to use as sit pads around camp (you can see it in the Utopia thread).

Exped also sells a 4mm thick 1m x 2m pad. You can cut it to size.

REI sells that blue foam that is a little heavier per square inch than the Thinlight stuff, but it doesn't have the grippiness that the Thinlights do. While this grip is nice to keep you from sliding around on your pad, I have a lot of trouble trying to insert a long roll into my pack frame. I roll up the Thinlight smaller than my pack diameter, then put it inside and try to push the insides out until it is snug against the pack body. The Thinlight is a pain in the butt to expand, but the blue REI stuff slides right into place. The problem is that REI only sells 3/8" thickness. Any ideas on where to get a thinner foam with non-grip? Any one else have this problem?

(I should specify that it is a problem when the pad is long. If I have the pad cut to 32" it works fine.)

go fast and light dot com sells a 72 inch paklite pad for ten dollars, the whole thing weighs in at less than 6 oz. I used one for several trips but it didn't hold up incredibly well.
