A few comments about that "review" :
Rather then replacing the two ends with mesh, I would add a mesh panel and use Velcro to secure the existing fabric for really windy and cold days.
Having a shorter version (it would work for me...) would be nice but a rather expensive exercise to save possibly 3 oz or so.
The author of the review mentions that the distance of the pole ends can be increased or decreased from a standard 165cm to 182cm, but he could not tell what difference it made. It only changes the height by about 3 cm, just over 1".

Above is true but they will NOT allow ANY links to content at another backpacking site. References to store items at BPL not available anywhere else might be permitted but any links to articles and forum posts are immediately deleted. I just went through that and was told to post pictures and info directly on PB, not link elsewhere. It's his site, his rules, and nobody is forced to participate.

It appears from the pictures that the reviewer uses no groundsheet. In my experience a groundsheet covering the ground in the vestibule area can reduce condensation in the tent when pitched over plants or damp ground.

i am a slow one finger typist with no computor skills.-so thank you roger for better link. sig, i do not know how to move text or pictures so i did the best i could to provide a link. i have no connection to the v-g site but i thought it might interest atko users. i use my atko differently. when i am sleeping out i prefer no shelter at all. if the weather is changeable i sleep under the fly only with all vents and door open. if the weather is very bad/cold i might sleep in the inner with the door open. to make up for this drafty way of doing things i use a massively over warm down bag. franco--the midge netting used in uk is very fine 600+ holes per sq. inch? (i believe mosquito netting is 260 holes per sq inch?) anyway it really cuts the drafts down. man i posted imformation for on pbf has given up on his atko and is selling it. regards from uk

Yes you are right, there is mesh and finer mesh..
Another way of course would be to minimize the draft by placing your pack or some clothing against it.
The search for the perfect tent goes on, but I have a hunch that I know the shelter that Ricosovitch will choose next.
In the meantime I cannot remember how to start a thread here.
