What is the weight on these?

Ever thought about making bivys?

With guylines and stuff sack (which are included) is 8 oz

As for bivy sacks, so far it's just been fine tuning of the tarps. Slight adjustments in things like dimensions, number of guyout points (10) and adding a hanging loop. Pretty much just sewing tarps, although bivies arn't ruled out. (It'd be quite a way off though)

we have a solo shelter/tarp that came out to 8' 9" long. Usual tarps are 9' long. this one still provides great coverage and has all the stock features that have made this tarp a PCT favorite.

the tarps can have additional loops sewn in for free, to hang a bug bivy or a clothesline etc...

I just received my tarp, and I'm very stoked about using it. I just wanted to say thank you for the speedy and thoughtful business!

this is a prototype tarp, one of the first tested. Just before about 2" snow fell on it. It held up well. Temp was 19 degrees

Excuse me while I change the channel. I've seen this episode before.

Let's see, I'm a guy who makes a few tarps a year cause I like makin things and sewing. So I want to sell some of my prototype tarps and I see a forum entitled "Gear Swap - New and used gear to buy-sell-trade" and another one entitled "Gear Deals - Announcements of online & local sales, coupons, etc. Commercial posts OK, but ONLY if you are announcing a sale or coupon." I wonder which one seems logical to put it in based on that description since I'm not announcing a sale or a coupon?

Yes, I understand. We will have to edit the Forum description, won't we?

Think of it as growing pains: we can't get everything 100% right at the start: things evolve in unexpected manners, so we have to adapt to what actually happens. But there have been lots of complaints because others saw things differently, so we have had to revise our descriptions of these two channels to cater to reality.

This is not a criticism in any way of your activities. In fact, we would like to encourage you as a nascent cottage industry. Go for it! But in the Gear Deals channel please.
