Fly fishing this winter in NC. Don't won't to carry both winter hiking boots and wading boots with felt bottom. My waders are light with neoprene booties.
Any suggestions?

let me add... I usually hike in montrail hardrocks in nice weather but concerned I need more substantial boots for possible cold rain and snow. Felt bottom wading boots/shoes seem to be the only way to really have any stability on slippery trout stream rocks. But my wading boots are heavy to begin with and once they get wet they are obscene. I have just hiked in the felt bottom wading boots the entire trip but only when I fished more than hiked.

There has got to be a more UL friendly solution????
