Static fix: safety pin on 01/15/2008 15:02:07 MST Print View

When I were my capilenes under my nylon pants I get ridiculous static action. This tip was on an email my grandma sent me yesterday:

Reducing Static Cling
Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will
not have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with
slacks that cling when wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam
of slacks and -- ta da! -- static is gone.

Safety pins to the rescue again!

What are the millon uses for safety pins? on 01/24/2008 23:59:21 MST Print View

Interesting. Safety pins always have a place on my pack as I like to secure drying socks and bandannas with them. Also I've used them to secure MYOG hipbelt pouches that wouldn't stay put.

I absolutely get a kick out of tips like that, not that it is relevant to me, but I just love simple solutions of this type. Of course we should all have at least a couple of safety pins in our repair/safety kit anyway.
