It’d be really cool if BPL could put together some sort of survey for the readership and publish the results. Not for commercial purposes or anything, but just to see where most people stand as far a gear, weight, field time etc goes. The more comprehensive, the better. It would be really interesting see where I stand in comparison. If for no other reason, how about just for the fun of it?

Agreed! I wondered recently if that had ever been done. What % of us are tarp campers? How many of us use a quilt vs traditional bag? What stove is the most popular? I can probably think of 20 other questions that I'd love to know the answers to.
