Has anyone ever used this 1/2 oz ripstop polyester or 3/4 oz ripstop nylon?

Note that kite stores almost always list the weights in sail maker yards (about 2/3 of a sq/yd) and the weight before coating. So - a 3/4oz fabric is really about 1.3- 1.4 oz sq/yd if it has enough coating to be waterproof for tarps.
