Platypus
I use a 2L Platypus (with or without water) for my head. You could use a 1 L or 1/2 L Platy/Sawyer/etc for between the knees. Dual use, too. ;)

Thanks for the tips. Windom will still be a challenge for him at only 52". While he likes climbing on rocks I can see where all those larger ones could tire him out.
