About Me Got a taste of backpacking when I joined Boyscouts at 13 and ever since have loved the outdoors. Discovered lightweight backpacking at 16 and soon found that I love to make my own gear and ever since have always strived to go lighter and lighter. Hiked from Tuolumne to Red's Meadow (35 miles) over 2 days with a 20lb pack in 2008. Currently planning 2009 JMT with future hopes of a PCT thru-hike. Beyond that, the planet's the limit.

I'll be setting out solo July 30 from Happy Isles and hopefully ending at Whitney August 10-11. See you all on the trail. I'll be the guy with dreads and wearing sandals.
