Old External fram packs
I know that they get used pretty often on trail crews. Sometimes you need to carry 80lbs of lumber into the backcountry. Or a bunch of tools. Lots of heavy stuff is used in trail construction.

As far as classic sleeping bags go (i.e. not quilts), my knee jerk reaction would be that Zpacks makes some of the lightest. I have no experience with them however.
