About Me Started hiking somewhere around Y2K, with a 50 pound pack, incl. food, water and fuel.
That dropped down to ~37 pounds incl. f, w & f, which wasn't that bad concidering traditional gear and food for ten days!
Than the UL bug bit me and my gear weight dropped and dropped to a baseweight of ~10 pounds for my Scotland-16-day-Solo.
Going solo for 3 days two nights max, baseweight is down to 4lbs2; Going solo for longer baseweight is down to 8lbs2.

Re: Re: Sub 1 kg carry-on bag (not backpacking)

Thanks for your replies so far. @ Ian B: I've had a look at the website of Zimmerbuilt and think that they seem rather promising to be able to build me a custom bag. I'll send them an e...

Re: GPS planning heading filtering?
Hey Mike, That did the trick! I went from 4800 point to less than 3000 without losing an accurate track, so tx for the tip! Eins

The Fox Wear leggings seem nice, but I doubt about the Polartec fabrics, since in my experience they do not repel water. Eins

Hey Aaron, Those thights do look pretty good indeed! It took me a while to find them though, since TNF's website first directed me to their Dutch website and it seems these tights are not fo...

Waterproof(-ish) running leggings
Hey BPL, It's been about a year ago since I was here. Feels good to be back! Last weekend I was doing my weekend cycling tour. It was a rather wet and cold tour and because of that I had ...
