Re: Re: Re: Ozark Trail suggestions
I'd probably start at Hwy 21. I guess it depends on how you like your hills. Going Hwy 21 to Hwy A I think the hills are a little longer, coming from Hwy A there are a couple of steeper hills. ...

Re: dogs in vestibules
I took my Corgi on his first backpacking trip a couple weeks ago. He wanders so an enclosed tent was a requirement for me too. I ended up with an MSR Hubba Hubba NX but only because I get a discoun...

Re: Question for those in MO....
Trees and flowers are starting to bloom. Most of the nasty undergrowth hasn't started coming in yet. The next week or two should be a great time to be on the trail. And I can confirm the tick...

Re: Any suggestions for 4-6 day trip within a day's drive of Twin Cities?
You could do the southern part of the Ozark Trail in Missouri. Shuttles are difficult to come by but some of the canoe rental places offer them. The Eleven Point, Current River, and Taum Sauk secti...

Here's a size comparison between the Olympus and X100. I found that site pretty useful when I was narrowing down what I wanted since the stores around here don't carry any Panasonic cameras...

Re: Camera for Travel and Backpacking?
I'm really happy with my Panasonic G5. I got it so I didn't have to lug around a Nikon D300. I've got the Panasonic 14mm and Sigma 30mm for it which were both super cheap and very sharp...
