No backpacking this weekend
I'm going to rent a jacked up truck and run over little bunny wabbits in the desert. WOO-HOO!!! Maybe I'll pull an Ed Abbey and fire beer bottles out the window while I'm at it. The ...

Ditto on the MH Canyon shirt
I have not modified mine because I like it's ability to give great sun protection (can't stand sun screen). This shirt has mesh in all the right places too.

Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo
SMD has changed the design somewhat in the most recent batch of Lunar Solo Es. Now the bungee for the floor attaches to the canopy. I've only used mine on 3 nights but I always get a taut pitch...

I'm not sure if there is merit to the Raw Food claims of some people but I've had very good results with ProBars. On one peak bagging trip I was near bonking when I took 20 minutes off to e...

I've only read CW v4 which had an awful lot of Chip Rawlins writing. It is also skewed heavily towards being a gear guide. I like 1000 Mile Summer and Walked Through Time a whole lot better.

I rarely give anything a 5. Really great gear gets 4 from me so the rivet breaking on mine dumps it to a 3. I too went the nut & bolt routine with a tiny lock washer. No more worries about brea...

I live in Utah and for me the free shipping means I'll get it next day. Prices are usually near retail but sales are really sales. Had to return 2 items and they were great to deal with.
