- Hiked mostly on Appalachian Trail in TN, NC, VA, PA, NY, & VT. Some memorable trips to Yosemite, The Presidential Range, Moab, Zion, The Superstitions, and portions of the PCT in the Cascades (The Three Sisters).
- Started backpacking in 1992, switched to lightweight ~1999.
- Currently using tarp, bivy sack, & quilt.
- Base summer weight ~8-10 lbs.

Liner
I use a liner bag since it is protected from brush and rocks that could cause damage without me noticing it...until it's too late. Plus it's alwys on so I don't have to stop and put it...

I also agree with Mike's suggestion. Maybe include a link to separate trip reporst so some people can quickly scan a uniform format, while others can dig deeper and take advantage of a full report...
