About Me Things I do: hike, camp, packraft, dive, XC ski

Things I'd like to do: easy rock climbing and canyoneering, more winter camping, more off-trail trips, and learn to telemark ski (it just looks so swooshy and cool). also, packraft MOAR.

Things I don't do: run, unless a rugby ball is in the vicinity. bike, unless it's casual, commuting, low-speed, or otherwise not hardcore.

Re: Re: Altimeters
Hm. Well, I don't use a GPS, and I don't wear a watch, so I imagine it'd be best to get a standalone altimeter (if I do). Calibration is something I have wondered about. It's my ...

Altimeters
I'm curious how many people use altimeters regularly in navigation, particularly in lower, wooded mountains like the Appalachians, where long distance visibility often isn't good, but the t...

Irina, I'm going to agree with the others and say that doesn't seem like enough food, but disagree and say it seems you have decent variety--cheese, jerky, dried fruit, chocolate, nut paste...

You had me at "modular"
I don't need something of this size for my current kinds of trips, but I'll definitely keep it on the radar.
