Westcomb Crest Hoody
I feel like a broken record here on BPL. I have the Westcomb Crest Hoody and it easily has or possibly surpasses the breathability of the older Houdinis, of which I own the 2012 and 2013 version...

West comb Crest
I've been using the Westcomb Crest on a lot of my trips these days and I am thrilled with it. It's made of Pertex soft shell material and is very light. It's as breathable or more so th...

Some OR questions
Do you feel that manufacturers are doubling down on Polartec Alpha and other more breathable insulation, or is the hype all about synthetic/down blends? How is Primaloft Gold, Silver, etc down a...

Uniqlo
Uniqlo has $40 merino wool sweaters, lightweight and perfect as a warmer base layer or lightweight mid. Quality is as good as anything else out there, but half the price.

Gore is better than ever
The new stuff from Gore is better than ever. I have the Beta FL from last year, which is based on the Gore-Tex Active Shell and similar to the Alpha FL. I don't really miss pit zips when the we...
