My Locale So-Cal
About Me 46 years old. Married with two kids- Daughter born in 2000, son born in 2003. Loved camping as a little kid. Then we moved to the foot of Mt. Whitney when I was 13. I spent my teenage years backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing, xc & downhill skiing. A lot less since then (living in LA).

Re: XC ski travel: Any glide in unbroken powder?
None for the first person (trailbreaker) Maybe a little for the second person (track smoother) Third person on it's a breeze. Ideally, go with a group of four and trade leads often.

Re: Upgrade ski gear or Snowshoes?
My plastic AT boots disintegrated the first time I buckled them up after 10 years of nonuse. The soles fell off my leather telemark boots when I used them after 5 years of nonuse (luckily re-attac...

Re: Re: There Must Be More About Gear Swap We Can Bitch About
I've gone to Everclear burning stoves and Ghee burning lamps. That way I can drink both fuels to simultaneously get drunk and bulk up. Try that in your Jetboil.
