Most of us here are sane enough not to go for hiking in the rain. Most of us here are fair weather backpackers with underlying UL currents. Rain jackets get used on low intensity for camp chores...

barry the headlamp comparison graphs are really mean for folks who use their lamps for hours on end with a decent amount on the higher modes ... ie night climbing, scrambling, biking, descend...
