Pack liner?
For overnight this is good, and you can probably skip aqua pure and just drink water in the off chance your filer clogs. John's right though, even when I know the area well I like to have a map...

Mariposa Is Somewhere In-Between
The GG Mariposa has a frame and would carry 30+ pounds comfortably. A little bigger than the Gorilla - I think 50L - but a nice pack, 27 ounces, and similar features.
