Re: how often do you backpack
"Bottom line; people plan all year and spend 1k+ on travel to do what I do on an average three-day weekend." Yep, I was one of those people too. My wife and I honeymooned in Whitefish ...

Re: Re: weight mis match
Great review! For $300, I expect the actual weight to be much closer to stated. Hard to believe this was an oversight by Westcomb. Ryan

Re: grips

Re: Another MYOG Trek Pole thread - 3.3oz per

Re: Re: Re: Re: "Newtown -- Who Here Changed His (or Her) Mind?"
Tony, That's a pretty good article. It seems Mr. Howard had a less bumpy road to passing his legislation than a president here would have. Having the will of the people could allow similar b...

Re: Teeny-tiny sleeping pad?
Erin, I think cutting a long/wide pad would be your best bet. You could have two 36"x25" pads or differing lengths since the 4 yr old is taller than the 2 yr old. A lot of folks have c...

ULA Ohm
I've had an Ohm for about a year now and have taken it on a few trips. It's very comfortable provided that you keep it in the weight range it's designed for. When carrying 20-25 lbs it car...
