Hey JMag - do an exhaustive search and you will see that the spinnaker waterproof issues and tear failures are well known and affected many, whether they be by the poorly designed One tent or tarps...

If you are taking trekking poles, consider the Tarptent Notch. There really isn't a better trekking pole supported 3 season shelter on the market.
