I either sit cross-legged or I sit with my legs open but out in front of me or I pull them up to my chest. The best is when I find the perfect rock to lean my back against.

I have make a homemade pot lid or used folded up heavy duty foil instead of the pot lid that came with my pot. You could put your toothpaste into a straw instead of into a sample-sized toothpast...
